Long Cruising Runs of Up to 4.5 Kilometers
The resort’s advertised longest run is approximately 4,500 meters. By linking several courses from the upper gondola area, skiers can enjoy one of the longest continuous cruising experiences available in the Kanto region.
Many of the slopes are relatively wide and gently graded, making them ideal for visitors who simply want to enjoy a long, comfortable descent without repeatedly stopping.
Snowmaking equipment and a dedicated grooming team help maintain stable slope conditions throughout the season. Thanks to the resort’s high elevation, visitors can also encounter excellent powder snow on suitable days. The area’s generally favorable weather conditions are another attraction for winter sports enthusiasts.
Baragi and Palcall Ski Areas
The present resort incorporates two areas that were once operated separately: the former Baragi Kogen Tsumagoi Ski Resort and Palcall Tsumagoi Ski Resort.
Today, they form two connected sections known as the Baragi Ski Area and the Palcall Ski Area. Because the terrain is geographically continuous, visitors can experience the two areas as one expansive ski resort.
Beginner-Friendly Slopes
The lower part of the Baragi area features broad, gentle slopes that are well suited to beginners and families. It is a comfortable place for first-time skiers to practice basic turns and build confidence.
Higher up the mountain, the courses offer more varied terrain for intermediate skiers. Although there are some steeper sections, the resort as a whole emphasizes relatively approachable terrain and comfortable cruising.
Resort Facilities and Hot Springs
The resort offers a range of facilities, including the Palcall Tsumagoi Resort Hotel, which provides direct access to the ski slopes, as well as a ski center and center lodge.
Free parking is available throughout the week, making the resort convenient for visitors traveling by car.
Azumaya no Yu Hot Spring
After a day on the slopes, guests can relax at the on-site hot spring facility, Azumaya no Yu.

Access
By train, the resort can be reached from Manza-Kazawaguchi Station on the JR Agatsuma Line, followed by a taxi ride of approximately 20 minutes.
By car, the resort is approximately 45 kilometers from the Usui-Karuizawa Interchange on the Joshin’etsu Expressway via the Onioshidashi Highway. It is approximately 27 kilometers from the Ueda-Sugadaira Interchange via National Route 144.
Because the resort is located in a high-altitude mountain area, winter road conditions can change quickly. Drivers should prepare appropriate winter tires and check current road conditions before traveling.

Although Palcall Tsumagoi Ski Resort is best known for its winter sports, the high-altitude Tsumagoi Highlands are also an attractive destination during the warmer months.
