After the major typhoon damage of 2019, the facilities were restored quickly, allowing the resort to reopen relatively early among ski resorts in Gunma Prefecture.

Kazawa Snow Area is accessible by car from several expressway interchanges.
It takes approximately 30 minutes from the Tobu-Yunomaru or Komoro interchanges on the Joshin’etsu Expressway, around 40 minutes from the Usui-Karuizawa Interchange, and approximately 90 minutes from the Shibukawa-Ikaho Interchange on the Kan-Etsu Expressway.
From the Nerima Interchange in Tokyo, the drive takes approximately two hours, making the resort a practical destination for a day trip from the greater Tokyo area.
