The Dye Botanical Garden is a rare facility in Japan that introduces the Japanese dyeing and weaving culture and its charms together with dye plants. 17,000 dye plants of 160 species are planted in the garden, where visitors can enjoy the transition of the dye culture from ancient times to the present day with the colors of the four seasons. The Crafts Hall has an exhibition room that introduces the Japanese people’s high sense of beauty in color, as well as a hands-on training room where visitors can try their hand at herb- and indigo-dyeing.
Hibiki Bridge
The Hibiki Bridge, a suspension bridge connecting the Shirai Daikanon and the Dye Botanical Garden, is a new landmark connecting the facilities scattered around Kannon Mountain. It is 120 meters long and 28.5 meters high above the valley.
